BALLET & TAP FOR KIDS

Our Ballet and Tap classes, which take place in Loughton and Theydon Bois, are extremely popular and loved by children of ages 3-6 years and abilities.

These classes fuse physical development and exercise with imaginative storytelling to help engage the kids from beginning to end. This class offers exposure to many different styles of dance, so our students can get a taste of everything on offer, plus it helps to improve their posture, co-ordination, rhythm, and discipline.

There are a multitude of props used in each class – including maracas, scarfs, and other sensory toys – to help our dancers dance confidently, learn social skills such as negotiating and sharing and above all, have fun.

JUNIOR BALLET

Donna’s Junior Ballet class offers a brilliant ballet foundation, from arm and feet positions, barre, and centre work to learning the individual steps which will eventually become a full dance routine. Our dancers benefit from learning solo dances, duets as well as larger group performances. This class works on the basic techniques, disciplines, steps, and performance skills which will ultimately be used in more advanced ballet, contemporary and other genres of dance.

JUNIOR TAP

Donna’s Junior Tap class is perfect for rhythm, coordination, and technique development, plus is a lot of fun for everyone involved. Our dancers will learn a range of Tap-dancing steps, complimented by music from classical shows to chart toppers and everything in between. This class is a firm favourite in Donna’s School of Dance!
